One friend called me a week ago asking if she can feed her newborn baby if she had a fever. I am not sure about the right answer. We both knew that if you had taken any fever medicine, you cannot feed the baby. However, we were not sure if it was okay to breastfeed if she did not take any medicine but did have a fever.

I told her not to breastfeed, just to be conservative. Anyone has any better ideas about this question?

Always call the Dr. I had it once and Dr. Told me that it is actually good to pass the antibody to the baby when breast feeding with a fever. Just make sure the medicine you take is okay for breast feeding.

Thanks for the helpful advice.
