Details: Dr. Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat Musical. From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears at their door, Sally and her brother know that the Cat in the Hat is the most mischievous cat they will ever meet. Suddenly the rainy afternoon is transformed by the Cat and his antics. Will their house ever be the same?

Intro to the Percussion Instruments @ Larchmont Library
When: March 18, 2017 3:30-4:30pm
Where: Larchmont Library
Details:  This program is appropriate for kids ages 4-8.  “Students and faculty from Larchmont Music Academy will be bringing drums of all sizes and shapes to life in an afternoon of beats, finishing with an all-inclusive drum circle. Kids will be able to explore all the drums and make their own percussion instrument to take home.” Online registration required.

Tech Ed Program @ Harrison Library
When: March 18, 2017 10-11am
Where: Harrison Library
Details: Learn about a basic microcontroller and how circuits work using Makey Makey, an electronic invention kit that contains a circuit board, alligator clips, and a USB cable. Create a piano, build a dance pad controller, play tetris, and more! Interact with various games and programs and turn fruit or vegetable into a controller. For ages 8 and up. Space is limited. Registration is required. Please sign up online, by phone, or in person at the library.

Maple Sugar Open House @ Stamford Nature Center

Where: Stamford Nature Center
Details: Join thelast public syrupping demonstration of the year at the nature center. Create some great maple-themed crafts in Overbrook Nature Center, meet some animals that live in trees in Heckscher WILD!, and visit our sugarhouse to see how we turn sap into syrup. At 3:30 join us for some ice cream with Maple Syrup! Crafts and sugarhouse demos ongoing; Heckscher WILD! animal presentations at 1:30 and 2:30 pm.”
