Family Gallery Talk @ MOMA - Last chance this Spring
When: May 10 and 11 2014 (Sat and Sun) 10:20–11:15 a.m. This is the last weekend of this series of Gallery Talk this Spring. The program will resume in September.
Where: MOMA (enter at the Education building entrance on 54th St between 5th and 6th Ave).
Detail: Look, listen, and share ideas while you explore modern and contemporary art. Movement, drawing, and other gallery activities give everyone the chance to participate. Each month a new theme is introduced. There are programs for two different age groups:
Tours for Fours are for kids four years old. Younger siblings will be allowed to accompany the group, but the participating child must be four.
A Closer Look for Kids are for kids aged 5 to 10.
Admission is free for individual families of up to two adults and three kids.
No preregistration. Tickets are distributed at the Education and Research Building reception desk starting at 10:00 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Programs often fill up; we recommend arriving a little before 10:00 a.m. All participants must be present.
Circus and Fair @ Edgewood, Scarsdale
When: May 10 2014, Saturday, 11AM-3PM
Where: Edgewood School, Scarsdale
Details: There would be a 30-minute circus show at 11:30am and at 1:30pm. Following each show our budding Circus performers will learn plate-spinning, devil sticks, clowning, diabolos (Chinese yo-yo), juggling and much more. There would also be games, crafts, and fun activities like Trapeze Trampoline, Zip lines, Rock Climbing Mountains, Bouncing Castle, Trackless Train, Pony Rides, Double-Bay Slide. Sheep Shearing @ Muscoot Farm
When: May 11 2014 (Mother's Day)
Where: Muscoot Farm, NY (51 New York 100, Katonah, NY)
Details: Every Mothers Day our sheep get sheared. The public is invited to come and watch as all of our adult sheep get their spring hair cut. There will also be a farmer's market with a variety of products including but not limited to: fresh produce, meats, cheese, soaps, candles, honey, maple syrup, flowers, fish, bread, and baked goods.
Mary Poppins @ Stepinac Theater
When: Performances will be held Friday and Saturday Evenings, 9th & 10th at 7:30 p.m. A matinee performance will take place on Sunday, May 11th at 2 p.m.

Teaching Trails and Animal Moms @ Greenburgh Nature Center
When: May 11 2014 Sunday 11:30am Teaching Trails and 2pm Animal Moms.
Where: Greenburgh Nature Center
Details: 11:30AM TEACHING TRAILS: Guided Trail Experience through the woodland forest. Discover who left that track, which tree makes the best animal home, or which mushrooms make the best dinner. Program runs approximately 45 minutes. FREE!
2PM ANIMAL MOMS – We love moms, even the furry and four legged ones! Join us to celebrate Moms of all types. Visit with and learn about some of our animal mom’s and complete a mother’s day inspired craft. Members $5, Non-members $8
