Rye Playland Opened its 2014 Season
Where: 100 Playland Pkwy, Rye
When: Weekends 12pm-7pm
Details: This is an amusement park with all kinds of rides and adventures. There is a kiddyland for the younger kids too. Take a stroll on the Rye Beach nearby after rides in the park.
Fees: May 2014 Day Pass: $15; June-Aug $20 Juniors under 48" and $30 Adults.
Spectator (No Rides): Free for Westchester Residents, $10 for Non-residents
Parking: $7 on the weekend.
2014 Season Pass: $80 for Westchester Residents, $95 for Non-residents
May Flower Fun @ Wildflower Garden
Where: Trailside Nature Museum and Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Route 35 & 121 in Cross River, NY
Details: The 1/2-acre Luquer-Marble Memorial Wildflower Garden was created in 1955. The garden is located behind the Museum. In addition to the lovely wildflowers that bloom in spring, this enchanting garden space features a small stream, stone bridge, and wooden benches. Although April and May are the most colorful months to visit the garden, it is a beautiful, contemplative space year-round.
