Children Zoo Grand Reopening @ Bronx Zoo
When: Saturday and Sunday May 30-31, 2015
Details: The Children's Zoo has been upgraded. Join us for a weekend-long celebration of the reopening of the three-acre exhibit. Peppa Pig will be greeting fans for photo ops at 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm at the Dancing Crane Pavilion.

Asian Heritage Festival @ Kensico Dam

Paper Planet @ The New Victory Theater
When: May 30 and May 21, 2015
Where: The Duke on 42nd Street, NYC
Details: 60 minute show from Melbourne, Australia. For kids ages 2 and up. Venture into a wild woodland unlike any other. There, a dragon! Look, a butterfly! In PAPER PLANET, kids and their adults team up to explore a jungle of cardboard trees filled with paper flora and fauna. Folding, scrunching and crawling, families contribute original art and populate the ever-changing environment with their own rustling paper creations. When the mic comes around for a chance to chime in and add silly sounds to the music of Mother Nature, kids are sure to get wrapped up in this forest of fun.

Meet the Animals @ Greenburgh Nature Center

Details: Join the herd as a naturalist presents an informative program that allows you to get up-close and hands-on with some of the Nature Center's live animals! What wild fun will you have today? Members $5/person, Non-Members $8/person

Telling Nature and Family Stories @ Wave Hill
When: Saturday May 30, 2015 10am-1pm
Where: Wave Hill Garden, Bronx, NY
Details; Led by visiting artist and performance artist Jesus Benavente and Family Art Project storyteller Rama Mandel, we celebrate storytelling at the Family Art Project and in our own lives. Share your own Wave Hill stories and recreate them using a variety of mixed media, then “plant” your story in a Storytelling Circle.  Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon.

Family Camp Out @ Rye Nature Center
When: Saturday, May 30th (5:00 pm) – Sunday, May 31st  (10:00 am).
Details: Stargazing, campfire stories, roasted marshmallows and falling asleep under the starts to the calls of crickets and owls are on the agenda. The is the perfect way to introduce your spouse and children to the joys of the outdoors while still having a Starbucks within a 5 minute drive. Includes dinner, breakfast and a guided hike. Bring your own tent or borrow one of ours. Suggested for ages 5 and up. Advanced registration required, members only.  Limited Space$30/person

Wild Mosaics @ Greenburgh Nature Center
When: Sunday May 31, 2015 1pm
Details: Feeling creative? Come make your own wild mosaic using natural materials. Let nature be your guide and see what type of masterpiece you are inspired to create. Members $5/person, Non-Members $8/person

Westchester Children's Museum Open @ Rye
Westchester Children's Museum is now open for the season. It is located on the boardwalk at the Playland in Rye. The museum’s hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.  http://discoverwcm.org/
