Build a Mini-Crate Pencil Holder @ Home Depot Kids Workshop

Details: Free monthly hands-on workshops for kids at Home Depot locations. The workshops are on the 1st Saturday of each month and are designed for children ages 5-12.  All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.

Wolf Pup 101 @ Wolf Conservation Center

When: Saturday Aug 2, 2014 2pm or Sunday Aug 3 11am

Details: Learn about the mythology, biology and ecology of wolf families and discover why summer is a special time for packs in North America.  Whether the wolves are living on the Arctic tundra or the high desert of the southwest, wolf families are out searching for prey as they care for their growing pups!  Guests will meet Ambassador Wolves Atka, Alawa, and Zephyr and meet almost 4-month-old Ambassador Wolf pup Nikai!  Don’t forget a camera!  Pre-registration is required. Handmade River Rafts @ Wave Hill Garden

When: Saturday Aug 2, 2014 10am-1pm
Where: Wave Hill Garden
Details: Collage and sculpt together a mixture of buoyant materials, such as recycled foam trays, modeling clay and reeds. Make your mixture into an all-natural raft or handmade boat. Keep it as a small sculpture—or see if it floats! Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon.

Walk Among the Butterflies @ Greenburgh Nature Center

When: Saturday, Aug 2, 2014 2pm

Details: From chrysalis to butterfly, come learn all about butterflies and what makes them fascinating and important to our world. Join a naturalist for a visit amid the live butterflies in our flight house, and a tour through the life of a butterfly. Stay and make your own beautiful butterfly craft! Recommended for children 8 and younger. Members-$5, Non-members $8 per person

Pick Your Own Peaches @ Local Farms

Now it is the harvest season for peaches. Please make sure to call the farm before heading out as picking schedules may change. A couple of farms for you to consider are listed below.
