Build a Wizard of Oz TM Birdhouse
When: Saturday Sept 6, 2014 9am-12noon

Where: Participating Home Deport near you.
Details: Come learn how to build a Wizard of Oz TM birdhouse.
FREE hands-on workshops; designed for children ages 5 - 12. All kid get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin. Kids Workshop activities are scheduled on a first come/first served basis. Please do not arrive before 9:00 a.m.

Clay Art Center Open House @ Port Chester

First Sunday Science @ Bruce Museum Seaside Center:

When: Sunday Sept 7, 2014 1:30pm-4pm
Where: Bruce Museum Seaside Center, Greenwich Point Park, Old Greenwich , CT
Details:  Dr. Daniel Ksepka, Bruce Museum Curator of Science, with talk about the passenger pigeon and other recently extinct bird species. Additional activities include making an origami passenger pigeon and scanning the skies to learn about the wild birds at Greenwich Point. The program is free. No reservations, but Beach pass is required for Park entry. See Town of Greenwich website for Beach pass information.

Harvest Party @ Greenburgh Nature Center
When: Sunday Sept 7, 2014 2pm
Where: Greenburgh Nature Center
Details: It’s the season to reap the harvest of our organic garden and hives! Our naturalists prepare a sampling of tasty treats from our garden, and you learn about the fascinating social network of honeybees, beekeeping, and how honey is harvested from our hives. Honey is extracted by our beekeeper H. Peet Foster. There is a free tasting of fresh honey-from-the-hives, and the newly harvested honey is available for purchase. Members $4. Non-members $8.

Central Park Dance Open House
