Aududon Fall Festival and Hawk Watch
When: Sept 16-17, 2017 11am-5pm
Where: 613 Riversville Road, Greenwich. (Audubon Center)
Details: Exciting, family-friendly nature festival, celebrating the fall season and annual migration of raptors. $15 for non-member. Activities include live raptor shows, hawk release, petting zoo, rock climbing wall, face-painting, etc.

Bioblitz @ Greenwich Point Park
When: Saturday, Sept 16, 2017 10am-3pm
Where: Greenwich Point, Old Greenwich, CT
Details: This is event is free and open to the public. Featured activities range from nature walks with experts, demonstrations, activities and displays designed to give PreK-12 students and their families a chance to explore and experience the biodiversity of Greenwich Point and Long Island Sound. http://ctbioblitz.uconn.edu/

Painters on Location @ Rye Art Center
When: Friday Sept 15 and Saturday Sept 16, 2017
Where: Various
Details: Artists will set up their easels on Friday, September 15 and Saturday, September 16. The Rye Arts Center will post the locations of the artists on a Google Map so you can find the painters at work. Some favorite locations include Rye Playland, Purchase Street, the Marshlands, local clubs, and Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck. On Saturday evening, The Rye Arts Center will host a reception at 5pm and sell the newly painted art works in a live auction starting at 6pm.

Larchmont Day
When: Saturday Sept 16, 2017 12-5pm
Where: Village Hall and Constitutional Park.
Details: The village celebrates Larchmont Day with big trucks and lots of fun activities for the kids including a bouncy house, cotton candy, face painting and more.  In addition the arts festival will run from 12-5.  

Fall Migration Bird Walk @ Rye
When: Sunday, Sept 17 2017 7:30-9:30am
Where: Marshlands Conservancy, Rye            Details: Bring binoculars to view feathered friends that are on the move down South.

Seining by the Sound @ Rye
When: Sunday, Sept 17, 2017  2-3:30pm
Where: Marshlands Conversvancy, Rye
Details: Use a 25-foot seine net to catch, study and release saltwater creatures in Milton Harbor.
Ladybug Day @ Wave Hill
When: Sunday Sept 17 2017 1-3pm
Where: Wave Hill Garden
Details: Learn more about these colorful creatures and meet a few live ladybugs with Environmental Educator Kerrilee Hunter of the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum. Ages six and older welcome with an adult. Ladybug Day event. Free with admission to the grounds.

Family Events @ Bruce Museum
When: Sunday Sept 17 2017
Where: Bruce Museum, Greenwich, CT
Details: Family Gallery Tour @ 11:30am-12:15pm   “Designed for families with children ages 6-10. These tours, led by a Museum educator,  provide an interactive, discussion-based exploration of the Museum's current exhibitions. Free with admission; no registration required.”
Science Sunday: Taxidermy Armatures from 1-3pm.  “A drop-in program designed for children aged 4 and up and their families. Participants will explore simple science concepts and subjects while partaking in fun, kid-friendly experiments, projects and crafts inspired by the Museum’s collections and exhibitions.  This program is free with general admission and no advance registration is required.

Renaissance Faire
When: Weekends in September from 10am-7pm
Where: Tuxedo Park, NY
Details: “A Renaissance Faire is a recreation of a Renaissance or Medieval village. It is filled with costumed actors, crafts and games to give patrons the illusion that they have stepped back in time. The New York Renaissance Faire features more than 125 performances on 20 stages, and over 100 craftspeople, all set within 65 acres of beautiful forest.”  

White Plains Jazz Festival
