Hot Air Balloon Festival @ Barton Orchards
When: July 7, 8, 9 2017 starting 10am
Details: “LOTS of family activities such as a petting zoo, hayrides, food trucks, a tap room, bakery and market, fire pits, corn hole, vendors, live music from great bands, and Fireworks PLUS old favorites like the Moon Glow, tether rides, and rides in the hot-air balloons for sale.”  Tickets Friday and Saturday are $10 in advance, $12 at the gate (limited number available), $17.95 Weekend Pass. How to Think Like a Tracker @ Rye

Details: Tracking skills open up the world of nature like nothing else. Learn to see animal tracks and clues as you investigate the nearby fields and forest. Discover how the landscape influences animals and how animals impact the land. Note: this is an intermediate level program for ages 12 and up.

Family Gallery Tour and Science Sunday @ Bruce Museum

Details: 11:30-12:15pm Gallery Tour “Designed for families with children ages 6-10. These tours, led by a Museum educator,  provide an interactive, discussion-based exploration of the Museum's current exhibitons. Free with admission; no registration required.”
Science Sunday: Creative Creatures is another fun activity from 1:00pm - 3:00pm.  “A drop-in program designed for children aged 4 and up and their families. Participants will explore simple science concepts and subjects while partaking in fun, kid-friendly experiments, projects and crafts inspired by the Museum’s collections and exhibitions. This program is free with general admission and no advance registration is required.

Bring Butterflies to Your Yard @ Greenburgh Nature Center

Pirate Quest @ Philipsburg
Where: Philipsburg Manor, Sleepy Hollow, NY
When: Every weekend in July and August 9:30-10:30am - Entry every 15 mins.

Bicycle Sundays
When: July 9, 2017 10am-2pm
Where: Bronx River Parkway.
Details: During Bicycle Sundays, the parkway is open exclusively for bicyclists, joggers, walkers, foot scooters and strollers from Exit 22 at the Westchester County Center to Exit 4 at Scarsdale Road in Yonkers, a round-trip distance of 13 miles.
