Details:  It’s not likely that you’ll find a ten foot Burmese Python in a Larchmont backyard, so come check him out at the library!  He’s one of the many unlikely pets that you’ll see at this show. Sponsored by the Friends of the Larchmont Library.  Attendance is limited to 35 children, so pick up your tickets early. A free ticket is required to attend this event. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning 30minutes before the event on the day of the program.

Home Depot Kids Workshop "Kung Fu Panda Spinning Box"
When: Saturday Jan 2, 2015 9am-11am
Detail: Join our hands-on workshop and build a Spinning Box toy. Then, decorate your finished box with stickers featuring characters from the upcoming Dreamworks movie Kung Fu Panda 3. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.

Details: You can meet Santa, go ice skating, take a walk down Candy Cane Lane (towering illuminated candy canes line the walkway), or take a hay ride and catch the musical light show. This event was such a hit last year, they decided to bring it back, and it looks even better. There’s also shopping as well as dinner or hot cocoa, if you need a nosh. Admission is $15 per person.

Holiday Train Show @ NYBG

Details: The New York Botanical Garden’s Holiday Train Show begins on Saturday, November 21, and runs through early January. It’s a timed ticketed event that enchants with more than 150 New York landmarks recreated in miniature out of bark, twigs, leaves and other materials from the natural world.

Pedal Punk @ New Victory Theater

Details: For ages 5 and up. This holiday season, the spectacular Cirque Mechanics (Boom Town, New Vic 2011) rolls into town with moxie The New York Times calls "exceptional, evocative, eye-catching, ear-catching and, to keep the list short, engrossingly entertaining!" In the steampunk-styled PEDAL PUNK, featuring a 20-foot-high, pedal-powered mechanical masterpiece, the powerful performers amaze with a heart-pounding pole drop, awesome aerial acts and high-flying tricks (on a trampoline!). With every spin of a sprocket and rattle of a wrench, the quirky cast of characters transform a bevy of bikes into an astounding assortment of acrobatic apparatus in this adrenaline-fueled circus for the whole family.

Big Apple Circus @ Lincoln Center

Where: Lincoln Center Damrosch Park 62nd St, New York.
Details: Show time is approximately 2-hours. The big top of the Big Apple Circus, crammed into a corner of the Lincoln Center plaza, is not exactly gargantuan. But it’s large enough to host prancing stallions, capering dogs, a couple of clowns, a score of swirling hula hoops and throngs of leaping acrobats. This year’s show, “Big Apple Circus: The Grand Tour,” is friendly, beguiling and emphatically humane, from the smallest poodle to the tallest stilt walker.

George Balanchine's Nutcracker @ Lincoln Center

Details: Tschaikovsky’s iconic score transports you to a world of wonder where mischievous mice are foiled by toy soldiers come to life, and a blizzard of ballerinas reveals the enchanting Land of Sweets. This is “the mother of all Nutcrackers” (The New Yorker) — the version that originated a beloved American tradition. The performance is 2 hours.
